Stream module is designed for conference environment to improve the conditions of meetings. It responds to “Gathering,” a group project for HDK in Stockholm furniture fair in 2017. Stream module also elaborates the design brief from Dutch flooring company – Forbo. The brief asks for an innovative application with linoleum in the product. Stream is a conceptual furniture that delivers efficient interactions within conferences. It is a platform for the conference members to meet and indulge in satellites conversations. Multiple cultural inspirations were referenced in the design process such as Swedish fika and Japanese tachinomi standing bars. They share similar concept of how Stream can be delivered. The module system provides multiple functions to tailor different circumstances with its stackable characteristic. Stream is formed with ideas of fluidity, streamlined shapes and mobility which serves as a subtle tool to the conference environment and be always ready for diverse occasions.
