Wave sideboard

A customised sideboard for the special dimension in a client’s living room. The imagery of sea waves gives the form of woven cane doors which I weaved by myself. This is the first furniture I designed and produced all by myself after the cabinetmaking education in 2014. Likewise, this work was also the first piece of the series work - reflection from the sea. I reflect my memories when I was in military service. The time served in seacoast troops had left me a remarkable experience after seeing how bad we as human treated our mother nature. The reflection motivated me to create this abstract imagery of sea wave’s moving while opening and closing the doors.
